Dr. Kimberly Goard, Music Director
Dr. Kimberly Goard has been walking with Christ since the age of four and has been blessed to serve Him through music and teaching for more than thirty years. Originally from Collinsville, Virginia, she now lives in Aberdeen, NC with her husband, son, two dogs, and a cat.
Her first church role began at age fifteen as a pianist in Virginia, and music has remained a central part of her ministry ever since. After marrying, she and her husband pursued their studies in Virginia and Kentucky, where God opened doors for both academic and ministry opportunities. She holds degrees in Economics (B.A.), Philosophy and Religious Studies (B.S.), Humanities (M.A.), Philosophy (M.A.), and a Ph.D. in Philosophy with a specialization in Ethics.
In addition to her musical ministry, her primary calling is academic. She serves as an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Choral Director at Richmond Community College. She is also the author of Unconditional Forgivingness, a work on the virtue of forgiveness, and Skills for Thoughtful Thought, a critical thinking textbook. Whatever the setting—classroom, choir, or church—she approaches her work through her Christian worldview and devotion.
She is grateful for her church family and the opportunity to grow in faith and service alongside them.
